A non - refundable booking deposit of €200.00 per property per week is required to confirm accommodation (bookings over 14 nights or €1500 are subject to a 10% booking deposit, which will be advised at the time of booking). Space is not held without payment and Ireland at Home takes no responsibility for reservations lost due to non payment.
Confirmation will be issued to you upon receipt of deposit. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Failure to pay balances will result in the cancellation of your reservation.

A €40.00 Euro handling fee applies to all reservations and is payable at the time of booking. This is non-refundable.

At some locations heating and electricity is an extra charge payable to the Duty Manager on departure. Electricity charges are in most cases based on individual meter readings and it is recommended that the cost per unit be checked at the outset. Some properties are charged at a daily rate, and others, it is included in the rate; please check the 'House Rules' section of your property at www.irelandathome.com.
A security deposit is required and must be given to the Duty Manager on arrival (in most cases €100-250.00, please check the 'House Rules' section of your property at www.irelandathome.com). This will be returned to you once the cleaning team have conducted their work and the Duty Manager is satisfied that the terms and conditions have been complied with. Cost of repairs to property as a result of negligence will be deducted from security deposit, with an additional charge where this is insufficient. In some locations the security deposit is returned by post after your departure, this can be checked with Duty Manager at the time of check-in. For some properties the security deposit is taken in advance using a credit card pre-authorisation. This is not a charge but a hold on the card in the event of damage. This expires within 14 days of departure and can be checked in the 'House Rules' section.
Possession of your rental property should be taken between 16.00hrs and 19.00hrs and the property vacated before 10.00 hrs on the morning of departure. Arrivals or departures outside of these times may be accommodated subject to prior arrangement with your Duty Manager.
As there is often no dedicated reception at properties our Duty Manager will meet you onsite with keys. Please contact the onsite Duty Manager /Hotel at least three days prior to check in with an estimated time of arrival. Failure to notify Duty Manager /Hotel of late arrival details may result in a loss of booking. You will find the contact telephone number on your check in details, and these will be sent to you when your balance is paid. It is advised that you keep in contact with the Duty Manager, should you be delayed.
The Proprietors are not responsible for any loss of valuables or property during your stay or left behind after departure.
The Proprietors, Duty Manager and Officers of Failte Ireland may at all times visit your rental property to inspect the property or carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
The number of persons stated on the reservation form must not be exceeded without first contacting the reservations office. If the rental is based on occupancy number, an additional charge will be made over the number occupying the property.
Ireland at Home act as an agent only for holiday homes. The home owner/Management Company onsite reserves the right of final acceptance of all bookings.
In the unlikely event of our having to cancel your holiday we will offer you the choice of a full refund of all monies paid to us or of staying in an alternative holiday home of comparable standard if available.
Pets with the exception of Guide dogs are not permitted at most properties, however we do have a number of Pet friendly locations- please enquire with our reservations staff or view pet-friendly locations on www.irelandathome.com.
If clients behave in a disruptive manner, cause damage to property or behave in any other manner deemed unreasonable by the officer of the company, rental of the property may be terminated with no rental refund.
Any complaints should be notified to the onsite Duty Manager or the management company immediately to give them the opportunity to rectify matters. Complaints regarding your booking details should be directed to our reservations centre 9am-8pm Monday-Friday or by email to sales@irelandathome.com. If your complaint has not been satisfactorily resolved onsite, please advise Ireland at Home as soon as possible. All complaints must be made to Ireland at Home within 14 days of departure.
Please specify your preferred accommodation unit on booking, which will be allocated to you strictly subject to availability. The Duty Manager reserves the right to allocate another unit other than your choice.
TV and Internet access are available in some properties, please check the facilities listing of your property at www.irelandathome.com for details specific to your rental.
Requests for cots and high chairs must be made with Ireland at Home on booking and while we will endeavour where possible to meet your request, it cannot be guaranteed. Cot linen is not provided and must be brought along with you. Please note that at the majority of our properties, the cots provided are travel cots with a travel cot base - we do not supply an additional mattress. For further information please check with your Duty Manger.
You must be aged 21 years or more to book a holiday with Ireland at Home and there must be at least one adult (aged 21 years or more) travelling on any one booking.
In the case of “Force Majeure” Ireland at Home may be forced to curtail, alter or cancel a holiday, the Client shall not be at liberty to maintain a claim for compensation or otherwise arising as a consequence of the said curtailment, alteration or cancellation of the holiday. In these terms and conditions the term Force Majeure is defined as Acts of God, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire, destruction or damage to holiday accommodation, riots, acts of civil war, civil commotion, requisition of property, insolvency or default of any provider of the accommodation, delays due to construction, or any other reason or event which Ireland at Home acting as Agents even with all due care, could not foresee or forestall.
Scope of our Service - Ireland at Home provides a booking service through which self-catering accommodations advertise their properties for reservation, and through which customers via the website (www.irelandathome.com), third party partner sites, calls, emails to the reservation centre can make such reservations. By making a reservation through Ireland at Home you enter into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the accommodation provider at which you book. From the point at which you make your reservation, Ireland at Home act solely as an intermediary between you (the guest) and the accommodation, transmitting details of your reservation to the relevant accommodation provider and sending you a confirmation email for and on behalf of the accommodation provider.
Through your reservation with Ireland at Home you are agreeing to Ireland at Home sharing the details pertinent to your reservation with the accommodation provider.
Any dispute or difference of any kind whatsoever which arises or occurs between any of the parties hereto in relation to any thing or matter arising under, out of or in connection with this Contract shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators - Irish Branch. Alternatively a claim may be pursued through the Small Claims Court.
