Sheen View is a modern development of 8 holiday homes alongside the Kenmare Bay Estuary on the beautiful Ring of Kerry. The houses have partially enclosed back gardens and there is private parking available for each house. The houses are located just a short stroll (10 minutes) from Kenmare town centre.

The town of Kenmare, noted for having the cleanest air in Europe, is a mecca for some of the finest restaurants in Ireland. You really will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out, from bar food to seafood and a range of other types of excellent restaurants to experience.

The nightlife in Kenmare suits all ages and the hospitality with which you will be greeted is second to none. There is a great selection of pubs and late night bars to choose from with many featuring live music from traditional Irish to rock and modern styles.

Local Activities
Kenmare lies approximately 30 minutes drive from a host of sandy beaches and it has a very pretty harbour from where you can swim, fish or take a trip on the Seafari Cruise to view the wildlife in the area.

Star Sailing & Adventure Centre
New to Kenmare is the wonderful Star Sailing & Adventure Centre situated on the shores of Kenmare Bay and surrounded by the Caha Mountains just a five minute drive from Kenmare Town Centre. The range of activities includes Sailing, Kayaking, Sea Kayaking, Windsurfing, Hillwalking, Boat Trips and much more. There is something to suit all the family.

Golf
Kenmare boasts two super golf courses. The Ring of Kerry Golf Course is located two miles outside of the town and offers spectacular views of Kenmare Bay from the course itself and also its newly renovated Club House.Kenmare Golf Club is located in Kenmare Town and follows the shores of Kenmare Bay Estuary.

Angling
There are lots of great fishing spots to choose from around Kenmare including Clonee Lake, Kenmare Bay and the Black Valley. Permits can be obtained locally.

Hill Walking
The Kerry Way and Beara Way walking routes are ideal for those with an interest in trekking or you could even join the annual summer hike to Ireland's highest mountain, Carrauntouhil. The foothills of the famous MacGillycuddy Reeks are right on Kenmare's doorstep.

Pony Trekking
Pony Trekking is the ideal way to explore the hidden treasures of Kenmare and its hinterland. Professional lessons are also available for beginners.

Other activities in the area include quad biking, pet farms, craft workshops and bicycle hire.

Kenmare
Kenmare is known as the jewel in the Ring of Kerry and no wonder with its location between two of the most beautiful touring routes in Europe - the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara. These make for very enjoyable day trips from Kenmare.

Kenmare is a designated Heritage Town of Ireland and the town offers a huge selection of places of historical interest to visit. Even strolling around the town is itself a pleasure with Kenmare having received awards from Entente Floral and the award for the Tidiest Town in Ireland in the year 2000.

Killarney is a 40 minute drive and Cork City is just over an hour's drive.

Rate Notes

Booking Deposit

An immediate non-refundable booking deposit of €150 per property is required to secure booking. The balance of the payment is required not less than 6 weeks before arrival date.

Electricity
The charge for electricity is charged on a daily basis. The charge is €5 per day in June/July/August and €6 per day in remaining months.

Cots & Highchairs
Cots and highchairs must be pre-ordered.

Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of €150 must be paid to the supervisor/caretaker on arrival. The deposit will be refunded once the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of rental have been compiled with. It is expected that the homes be left in a clean & tidy condition on departing. All rubbish should be gathered and stored in suitable plastic bags. Failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of security deposit. When a rental is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental must be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply.

Things to do and see in Kenmare

Golf
There are two Golf Clubs in Kenmare

Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club:Famed for its spectacular scenery, its VIP playing guest list and the intoxicating hospitality of the Kerry people, the Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club provides the perfect venue for any discerning golfer visiting Irelands South West. A driving range is also available.

Kenmare Golf Club:This course is a real test of golf in a unique golfing environment and while it can be very exacting for a good golfer, it is never unfair to the weak.
The early holes stretch along the picturesque Roughty river estuary while the undulating ground of the remaining nine holes provide panoramic views of Kenmare Bay and the Roughty Valley.

Kenmare Lace
Demonstrations of Kenmare, Limerick, Carrickmacross crochet and lace making can be seen by visitors. All laces are for sale, as well as lace making materials and books. There is also an antique exhibition at the centre.

Kenmare Angling & Sightseeing Cruises
Angling & sightseeing cruises taking groups of up to 10 people are offered. An exclusive charter of M.V. Sturdy is available for 2 hour, half day and full day cruises. The trip offers views of castles, seals, dolphins, mussel farms, salmon farms and a bird sanctuary.
Kenmare Angling and Sightseeing Cruises are based at Kenmare Pier, which is a 5 minute walk from Kenmare town on the Castletownbere road. Pick ups can be arranged from most piers on Kenmare Bay.

The Erin Giftstore
The Erin Giftstore specialises in quality Irish knitwear, giftware, pottery, jewellery and souvenirs. The Giftstore has been producing handknit Aran sweaters under the Erin Knitwear label for the last 36 years.

Things to do and see in Kerry

Kerry Crafted Glass, Killarney

Go visit the only glassworks of it kind in Ireland, see the glassblower mould and blow each individual piece of glass using traditional tools. Dating back thousand of year, all the glass is made using 100 % recycled glass. Children are amazed to feel the heat and to get so close to the hot glass. A warm welcome awaits you at Kerry Glass. Kerry Film Festival
The Kerry Film Festival is Ireland�s premier short film festival attracting film makers from all over the world. The festival takes place annually, in October, at locations throughout Kerry including Tralee, Killarney, Dingle & Listowel. Screenings have taken place in many diverse venues such as cinemas, art centres, interpretative centres, disused buildings, pubs, polytunnels etc. While the festival will feature full length films, workshops etc. the main event is a short film competition with awards presented by Ardmore Studios, Ireland. The festival holds a short script competition in association with the Cork Film Centre.

Killarney Outlet Centre
The Killarney Outlet Centre is situated in the heart of Ireland�s premier tourist location, adjacent to the Great Southern Hotel, Railway and Bus Station. Killarney Outlet Centre offers merchandise at a discount of between 30% and 50% off normal retail prices in all stores every day. The stock on sale in store represents out of season stock, cancelled orders, over runs and excess stock. The centre is anchored by Nike Factory Store and Blarney Woollen Mills. Other brands include Lowe Alpine, Patagonia, Paco and lots more.

Kerry Woollen Mills, Killarney
The full range of woollen manufacturing processes have been carried out in this location from early times right up to present day. Within the centre, fabric and clothing is both manufactured and retailed. The product range includes blankets, rugs, capes, throws, scarves, jackets and extensive knitwear ranges.
